I think Ron got busy and forgot our match, or maybe he meant next week. |
I hope he's okay. He seems kind of distant in passing in the hallways.
Sometimes I like to sit and imagine what my parents would look like. I try and try again to sketch it down on paper but I can never make it come out right.
I miss my parents so much.
I wonder why they left me there.
Maybe there amazing philanthropist and are on a crusade for the righteous.
Maybe they are poor and ashamed.
Maybe they are rich.
Maybe they are dead.
That's my least favorite guess, I would rather see my parents and know they are alive rather then wondering if they died. The Orphanage locked my papers away. I have no way of knowing the proceedings of my establishment at the orphanage.
I have been distant- Hopefully, a match next Wednesday will take my mind off things.
Sorry for my coldness.
So, next Wednesday it is.
I hear you're pretty good at chess. If you want, could you play me someday?
I'd like to play a game with you. Just name the time and place.
I wish I knew what to tell you. I know I favour my dad, so maybe you do as well. Maybe you have his nose, or his eyes, and your mum's hair. Either way, I'm sure both of them resemble you just a little bit. But it must be hard not to know...
Maybe when you're eighteen they'll give you your papers. You'll even be an adult in the Muggle world, then, so surely they'd have to. I know that's a long way away, but it's all I can think of now.
Maybe one day I will know the truth, if my parents are Muggle or not.
Thanks Stacey. I'm glad I have family in my friends at Hogwarts.
That's true! You don't even know if you're a Muggle-born, or Half-blood or...
Leona? How do you know your last name is Barlock? Did the orphanage tell you that? Was it on your papers? Because if you know for sure that it is, and if your father was a wizard...whether Pureblodd, Half-blood, or Muggle-born, he would probably be registered somewhere. With the Ministry. And if the orphanage won't tell you anything, they might. And even if they made you wait until you were an adult, you'd only have to wait until seventeen, which is still a year sooner.
Have you ever thought about searching for your surname in wizarding registries?
When I was left at the orphanage my parents left me only my name.
The thought never crossed my mind to go to the wizarding registries.
Do you really think they could tell me something about my parents, tell me who they are, or were?
Oh that would be wonderful.
Well, obviously not if they were Muggles...but if you don't find anything in wizarding registries, then you can probably assume they're Muggles, which is more than you can do now.
That would be absolutely wonderful! Everyone deserves to know about their parents!
